„Die Flagge der Stadt besteht aus 16 gleich breiten Streifen im Wechsel von Weiß und Rot (Hissflagge: Streifen von oben nach unten; Querflagge: Streifen von links nach rechts verlaufend) belegt mit einem schräglinken schwarzen Doppelhaken.“[1]
Die Flagge geht zumindest bis auf das 16. Jahrhundert zurück.
