Deutsch: Der Abtstab und die Farben Silber und Rot sind aus dem Wappen der Zisterzienserabtei Waldsassen übernommen und erinnern an die bis zur Säkularisation 1803 andauernde Zugehörigkeit des Gemeindegebietes zum Stiftland Waldsassen. Die Tanne verweist auf den Waldreichtum der Gegend. Die unten herausströmende Quelle redet für -brunn, den zweiten Teil des Ortsnamens, und versinnbildlicht die seit Mitte des 18. Jahrhunderts nachweisbare Heilquelle, die früher bei Fixen (Füchsen) bezeichnet und 1916 unter dem Namen Silvana-Heilquelle staatlich anerkannt wurde. Seit 1981 wird die Quelle von der Firma Franken-Brunnen in ganz Süddeutschland vertrieben. |
