वाख़ी भाषा
वाख़ी (वाख़ी: ख़ीक ज़िक; फ़ारसी: واخی; अंग्रेज़ी: Wakhi) पूर्वी ईरानी भाषा-परिवार की पामीरी उपशाखा की एक भाषा है। इसे पूर्वोत्तरी अफ़्ग़ानिस्तान के वाख़ान क्षेत्र और उसे से लगे चीन, गिलगित-बल्तिस्तान और ताजिकिस्तान के इलाकों में बोला जाता है। इसे बोलने वालों की संख्या लगभग ३०,००० है।
भाषा का नाम
[संपादित करें]हालांकि वाख़ी का नाम वाख़ान क्षेत्र में बसने वाले वाख़ी लोगों पर पड़ा है, लेकिन वे स्वयं अपनी भाषा को 'ख़ीक ज़िक' बुलाते हैं। वाख़ी लोग अपने समुदाय को 'ख़ीक' बुलाते हैं और 'ख़ीक ज़िक' का मतलब 'ख़ीक भाषा' है।[1] 'वाख़ी' और 'ख़ीक' शब्दों में 'ख़' अक्षर के उच्चारण पर ध्यान दें क्योंकि यह बिना बिन्दु वाले 'ख' से ज़रा भिन्न है। इसका उच्चारण 'ख़राब' और 'ख़रीद' के 'ख़' से मिलता है।
