जमरूद किला
जमरूद किला ख़ैबर दर्रे के मुख पर स्थित बाब-ए-ख़ैबर के पास स्थित एक क़िला है। प्रशासनिक रूप से यह पाकिस्तान के ख़ैबर-पख़्तूनख़्वा के संघीय प्रशासित कबायली क्षेत्र में पड़ता है।
इतिहास
[संपादित करें]यह क्षेत्र अफ़्ग़ानिस्तान का भाग था और इसपर पश्तूनों का अधिकार था। सिख साम्राज्य के प्रसिद्ध सेनापति हरि सिंह नलवा ने इसपर अक्तूबर १८३६ में क़ब्ज़ा कर लिया। ६ पौष १८९३ विक्रम संवत, यानि १८ दिसम्बर १८३६, को क़िले की नीव रखी गई और इसका निर्माण ५४ में सम्पन्न हुआ। अफ़्ग़ानिस्तान के अमीर, दोस्त मुहम्मद ख़ान, ने इसे वापस लेने का प्रयत्न करा लेकिन ब्रिटिश राज तक इसपर सिखों का ही अधिकार रहा।[1][2]
