נקודת אלדן (באנגלית: Point Alden) היא לשון יבשה מכוסה קרח בחוף ג'ורג' החמישי, בארץ ג'ורג' החמישי, שבאנטארקטיקה[1].
בלשון היבשה סלעים חשופים הבולטים מעל הקרח[1].
הנקודה מהווה את הצד המערבי של הכניסה למפרץ קומונוולת'[1], וכן את נקודת ההפרדה בין חוף אדלי, וחוף ג'ורג' החמישי[1].

[עריכת קוד מקור | עריכה]הנקודה התגלתה ב-30 בינואר 1840 על ידי משלחת החקר של ארצות הברית, בפיקודו של לוטננט צ'ארלס וילקס[1].
מקור השם
[עריכת קוד מקור | עריכה]וילקס קרא ללשון היבשה על שמו של לוטננט ג'יימס אולדן (James Alden)[1], שהיה קצין בספינת הדגל של משלחת החקר - האוניה וינסנס (Vincennes)[1].
