ત્રૈકુટક વંશ
ત્રૈકુટક, ત્રિકુટક અથવા ત્રિકુટા એ એક પ્રાચિન ભારતીય રાજવંશ હતો. આ વંશના રાજાઓએ વર્ષ ૩૮૮ થી ૪૫૬ દરમિયાન ઉત્તરી કોંકણ અને દક્ષિણી ગુજરાત ના પશ્ચિમી ઘાટના કેટલાક પ્રદેશો પર શાસન કર્યું હતું.[૧] ત્રૈકુટક એ સંસ્કૃત ભાષાનો શબ્દ છે જેનો શાબ્દિક અર્થ ત્રણ શિખરનો પર્વત થાય છે. ત્રૈકુટકોનો ઉલ્લેખ મહાકવિ કાલિદાસના નાટક રઘુવંશમાં પણ જોવા મળે છે.
ત્રિકુટા સામ્રાજ્ય સામાન્ય રીતે આભીર (આહીર) સામ્રાજ્ય ના રૂપ માં માન્ય છે તથા ઇતિહાસ માં ત્રિકુટા આહીર સામ્રાજ્ય નામ થી જણાય છે. [૨][૩][૪][૫] વૈષ્ણવ ત્રિકુટા આહીર હૈહેય શાખા ના યાદવ માનવામાં આવ્યા છે[૬]. દહરસેન એ અશ્વમેઘ યજ્ઞ પણ કર્યો હતો.[૭] એમના નિમ્ન પ્રમુખ શાસક થયા-

- મહારાજા વ્યાઘ્રસેન
ત્રૈકુટકોના સિક્કાઓ દક્ષિણી ગુજરાત અને દક્ષિણી મહારાષ્ટ્રમાં પશ્ચિમી ઘાટમાં વિવિધ જગ્યાઓએ મળી આવેલાં છે, જેઓનો દેખાવ ક્ષત્રપોના સિક્કાઓ સાથે ઘણી સામ્યતા ધરાવે છે.[૮]
અપરાંત અથવા કોંકણનું ત્રૈકુટક શાસન ઇ.સ.૨૪૮ માં શરૂ થાય છે, જે ઈશ્વરસેના શાસનનો બરાબર સમય છે. ત્રૈકુટકોનો પોતાનો ચોક્કસ યુગમાં ગણાય છે, જે ત્રૈકુટક યુગ તરીકે ઓળખાય છે, તે કલચુરી અથવા ચેદી યુગ સાથે ૨૪૯ માં શરૂ થાય છે..[૯]
