Mandi'o (poytugañe'ẽ, karaiñe'ẽme: mandioca, casava, lasioñe'ẽ: Manihot esculenta), ha'e hína peteĩ ka'avo oñeñotýva ambue tetãme ijyvy akúva guive. Mandi'o kuéra avei oguereko hína —sa'i sa'i jepérõ— ikatu ñanemomba'asy vai'imíva, hérava linamarina ha lotaustralina. Ko'ãva ndive oime avei glucósidos cianogénicos, ha oikóva chugui kuéra ácido prúsico (cianuro de hidrógeno), pe enzima linamarasa rupive. Ko'ãva oime hína pe mandi'o rapoitépe rehe.[4]
