O sranan tongo é unha lingua crioula con base léxica inglesa falada en como lingua franca por arredor de 500 000 persoas en Suriname. É unha lingua compartida para o entendemento entre as comunidades falantes de neerlandés, xavanés, hindustaní e chinés.
