O Nottingham Forest Football Club é un club de fútbol inglés da cidade de Nottingham, en East Midlands. Foi fundado en 1865 e compite na Football League Championship.
Historia
[editar | editar a fonte]Foi un dos membros fundadores da Football Alliance en 1889 e o seu primeiro grande éxito conseguiuno en 1898 ao gañar a FA Cup. Pasou gran parte do século XX na Second Division e o seu segundo gran trofeo veu en 1959 cando gañou unha nova FA Cup. O seu período de maior éxito veu da man de Brian Clough, que chegou ao club en 1975. Baixo a súa dirección o Nottingham Forest ascendeu á First Division, foi campión de Inglaterra, gañou dúas Copas de Europa consecutivas e catro League Cups. Participaron en 1992 na primeira tempada da Premier League e desde entón sufriu unha serie de descensos, chegando a caer en 2005 á League One. Tras tres tempadas no terceiro nivel do fútbol inglés conseguiu o ascenso ao Championship, onde milita na actualidade.
