Micrópilo
En botánica, o micrópilo[1] é unha abertura ou orificio, a modo de canle, que se acha na porción apical dos óvulos ou rudimentos seminais. Este canal áchase delimitado por un ou polos dous tegumentos do óvulo. Neste último caso, a abertura limitada polo tegumento interno chámase «endóstoma», e a abertura deixada polo tegumento externo é o «exóstoma» e a micrópilo dise «biestomática». Ambas as aberturas poden coincidir perfectamente ou estar lixeiramente desprazadas. Neste último caso, cando se observa o óvulo en corte lonxitudinal, a micrópilo descríbese como «micrópilo en zig-zag».
