A tempada 2001-2002 da Liga Española de rugby (División de Honor de Rugby) foi a edición número 35 da máxima categoría do rugby en España. A tempada rematou coa vitoria final no campionato para o equipo acabado de ascender Moraleja Alcobendas Rugby Union (comunmente chamado MARU) por primeira e única vez na súa historia.
O VRAC era o defensor do título logrado na anterior tempada. Os dous novos equipos na categoría foron o CAU Valencia e o CR Cisneros, que ocuparon os lugares de Oviedo e Liceo Francés, descendidos o ano anterior.
