Blas de Prado, nado en Camarena, provincia de Toledo en 1545, e finado en Madrid en 1599, foi un destacado pintor manierista español, que traballou para a construción da Catedral de Toledo e doutras igrexas da sede da arquidiocese católica latina de Toledo, así como para o rei Filipe II e o xerife de Fes a quen, entre outras obras, lle fixo un retrato da súa filla.[1] Crese que tivo como metres, segundo Antonio Palomino, a Alonso Berruguete e, segundo o historiador Juan Agustín Ceán Bermúdez, ó pintor toledano Francisco de Comontes.[2]
