Scoláire béaloidis agus gníomhaí teanga ón Iorua a bhí in Ingebret Moltke Moe, a tháinig chun saoil i Krødsherad, cúige Viken, ar an 19 Meitheamh 1859 agus a fuair bás in Kristiania (inniu Oslo) ar an 15 Nollaig 1913.

Ministir Protastúnach agus bailitheoir mór béaloidis a bhí ina athair féin, agus ní raibh i Moltke Moe óg ach stócach ocht mbliana déag d'aois nuair a thosaigh sé ag tionlacan a athar ag bailiú seanscéalta i gceantar Telemark.

Bhí Moe ina Ollamh le Béaloideas roimh aon duine eile i gCríoch Lochlann. Bhain sé amach an gradam seo sula raibh tríocha bliain d'aois nó céim ollscoile aige.

Cúrsaí teanga

[cuir in eagar | athraigh foinse]

I gcúrsaí teanga, bhí Moe barúlach gur chóir dhá chaighdeán scríofa na hIoruaise, an Bokmål agus an Nynorsk, a thabhairt in araicis a chéile. Ghlac sé páirt i ndréachtáil cheartlitriú na bliana 1907. Leis an gceartlitriú seo cuireadh caighdeán "Ioruach" in aghaidh an chaighdeáin "Dhanmhargaigh" don Bokmål: le fírinne d'athraigh ainm na teanga sin ó Riksmål go Bokmål san am.
