Mesopaussi on ilmakehän rajakerros, joka sijaitsee mesosfäärin ja termosfäärin välissä 80–90 kilometrin korkeudessa. Mesopaussissa on pakkasta noin sata astetta, ja se onkin ilmakehän kylmin kerros. Sen yläpuolella termosfäärissä lämpötila alkaa jälleen nousta.[1]
