Hirsirakennuksen nurkka

Lamasalvos eli nurkkasalvos on hirsitalojen rakenne, jossa hirret ovat vaakasuorassa.[1] Lamasalvosrakenne tehdään päällekkäin asetetuista hirsistä, joiden nurkassa risteävät päät lovetaan eli salvotaan. Jotta hirret liittyisivät tiiviisti toisiinsa, tehdään ylempään hirteen varaus, hirren alapinnassa oleva pituussuuntainen kouru. Varaus estää myös sadeveden pääsyn hirsien väliseen saumaan. Hirret sidotaan toisiinsa hirsien läpi porattuihin reikiin työnnetyillä vaarnoilla.
