Komsan kulttuuri

Komsan kulttuuri oli noin 10 000–6000 eaa. Pohjois-Norjan rannikolle ilmaantunut kivikautinen metsästäjä - kalastajien kulttuuri, joka saapui sinne jääkauden päättymisen aikoihin Norjan rannikkoa ja jäätikön reunaa pitkin. Kulttuurin arvellaan saaneen alkunsa Ahrensburgin kulttuurista. Luultavasti kulttuuri lähti jääkauden aikana kuivana olleelta Pohjanmereltä pohjoiseen ehkä 10 100 vuotta sitten. Se levisi Varangeriin noin 9 300 vuotta sitten ja vakiintui noin 9 000 vuotta sitten. Inarista tehty noin 7 900 vuoden ikäinen löytö voi liittyä Komsan kulttuuriin. Jotkut arvelevat, että asutus olisi ehkä vaihtunut Pohjois-Norjan rannikolla jossain vaiheessa lännestä tulleesta itäiseen mutta tuskin kokonaan.[1]
Komsan kulttuurin löysi ensimmäisenä arkeologi Anders Nummedal.[2]
