Ilmanvastuskerroin on kerroin, joka ilmoittaa, miten suurta pinta-alaa vastaava suhteellinen ilmanvastus muodostuu mittauksen kohteena olevan esineen otsapinnan ilmanvastuksesta. Vastuksen minimoimiseksi aerodynaamisiksi muotoilluilla autoilla voi ilmanvastuskerroin olla 0,194–0,4, kun taas suurilla täysperävaunu- tai puoliperävaunukuorma-autoilla se voi olla 1,0 tai jopa 1,2.
