Hackney (London Borough of Hackney) on yksi Lontoon 32:sta kaupunkipiiristä ja sijaitsee kaupunkialueen itäosassa.[1] Sen pinta-ala on 19 neliökilometriä, ja siellä asui vuonna 2017 noin 276 000 ihmistä.[2]

Hackney kuuluu kahdentoista kaupunkipiirin ryhmään, jotka yhdessä muodostavat Sisä-Lontoon (Inner London). Hackneyn eteläiset alueet, kuten Hoxton ja Shoreditch, luetaan usein kuuluviksi East Endiin.

Tunnettuja Hackneyssä asuneita lontoolaisia ovat muiden muassa tähtitieteilijä Edmond Halley, näyttelijä Jessica Tandy ja kitaristi Adrian Smith. Elokuvaohjaaja Alfred Hitchcock aloitti uransa Gainsboroughin studioilla Shoreditchissä.

Hackneyn kaupunkipiirin nykyiset rajat ovat peräisin vuodelta 1965, jolloin Shoreditchin ja Stoke Newingtonin piirit yhdistettiin Hackneyyn.
