HMS Wild Swan (viirinumero D62) oli Britannian kuninkaallisen laivaston Amiraliteetin parannellun W-luokan hävittäjä toisessa maailmansodassa.
Valmistus

Alus tilattiin huhtikuussa 1918 työnumerolla J1105 Swan Hunter and Wigham Richardsonilta Wallsendistä, missä köli laskettiin heinäkuussa 1918. Alus laskettiin vesille 17. toukokuuta 1919 kumminaan rouva R. N. F. West ja valmistui vielä saman vuoden lopulla 14. marraskuuta.[1]
Palvelus
[muokkaa | muokkaa wikitekstiä]Alus joutui 16. kesäkuuta 1942 kahdentoista Saksan ilmavoimien Junkers Ju 88 -pommikoneen maaliksi, jolloin neljä lähelle osunutta pommia aiheuttivat suuren vuodon. Alus upposi ja HMS Vansittart pelasti 123 miestä sen miehistöstä, jotka laskettiin maihin Milford Havenissa.
