Catalogue of Life on maailman kattavin tietokanta tunnetuista eläinlajeista, kasveista, sienistä ja mikro-organismeista. Sen perustivat vuonna 2001 kansainvälinen Species 2000 ja amerikkalainen ITIS. Luettelon käyttöliittymä on saatavana kahdellatoista kielellä, ja sitä käyttävät tutkijat, kansalaistutkijat, kouluttajat ja päätöksentekijät. Luetteloa käyttävät myös Biodiversity Heritage Library, Barcode of Life, Encyclopedia of Life ja Global Biodiversity Information Facility. Luettelo kokoaa tällä hetkellä tietoja 172 vertaisarvioidusta taksonomisesta tietokannasta, joita ylläpitävät erikoistuneet laitokset ympäri maailmaa. Vuonna 2019 luettelo sisältää 1 837 565 elävää ja 63 418 sukupuuttoon kuollutta lajia. Maailmassa arvioidaan olevan tällä hetkellä 2,2 miljoonaa tunnettua lajia.[1]
