α-Ketovoihappo eli alfaketovoihappo (C4H6O3) on ketokarboksyylihappoihin kuuluva orgaaninen yhdiste. Yhdistettä esiintyy välituotteena aminohappojen biosynteesi- ja hajotusreaktioissa.
α-Ketovoihappoa muodostuu treoniinista treoniinideaminaasin katalysoimana. Yhdistettä muodostuu myös kysteiinin biosynteesin sivutuotteessa, kun kystationiini hajoaa kysteiiniksi ja α-ketovoihapoksi kystationaasin katalysoimana. Näissä reaktioissa muodostunut α-ketovoihappo voidaan prosessoida edelleen propionyylikoentsyymi-A:ksi α-ketohappodehydrogenaasikompleksin katalysoimana. Eräät eliöt kykenevät syntetisoimaan isoleusiinia α-ketovoihaposta.[2][3][4]
Sotoloni on laktoneihin kuuluva aromiyhdiste, joka antaa ranskalaiselle viinille Vin jaune sen tyypillisen maun. Sotolonia muodostuu viiniin käymisprosessin aikana asetaldehydistä ja α-ketovoihaposta.[5]
