Adlercreutzin rykmentti

Adlercreutzin rykmentti oli Carl Johan Adlercreutzin mukaan nimetty joukko-osasto Ruotsin armeijassa 1800-luvun alussa. Rykmentti nimettiin 1804, mutta Suomen sodan alkaessa Adlercreutz itse oli jo edennyt urallaan prikaatinkomentajaksi.[1]
Adlercreutzin rykmentti oli yksi neljästä Suomen sodan aikaan Suomessa toimineesta värvätystä jalkaväkirykmentistä. Se oli vuoteen 1804 saakka nimeltään Uusi jääkärirykmentti tai Suomalainen värvätty jalkaväkirykmentti. Se oli 1800-luvun alussa suurin Suomeen sijoitetuista värvätyistä joukko-osastoista; siihen kuului 13 komppaniaa ja noin 2000 miestä.[2]
Viaporin piirityksessä keväällä 1808 Adlercreutzin rykmentti, johon kuului silloin 1825 miestä, osallistui puolustukseen. Tappion jälkeen ruotsalaiset upseerit vangittiin mutta suomalaiset sotilaat päästettiin menemään.[3]
