Islamiar Urrezko Aroa Islamaren historiako loraldi kultural, ekonomiko eta zientifiko bat izan zen, tradizionalki VIII. mendetik XIV. mendera bitartean gertatu zena.[1][2] Tradizionalki, garai hau Harun al-Rashid abbastar kalifaren erregealdian (786tik 809ra) hasi zela ulertzen da, Bagdadeko Jakintzaren Etxearen inaugurazioarekin, non aurrekari kultural ezberdinak dituzten munduko hainbat tokitako adituek, munduko ezagutza klasiko guztia, bildu eta arabierara eta persierara itzultzeko agindua jaso zuten.[3] Tradizioz, garai hau, Abbastar Kalifa-herriaren kolapsoarekin amaitu zela esaten da, mongolen inbasioen eta 1258ko Bagdadeko setioaren ondorioz gertatutakoa.[4] Aditu batzuk urrezko aroaren amaiera 1350 inguruan kokatzen dute, egungo zenbait historialari eta adituk Urrezko Aro Islamikoaren amaiera XV. mendetik XVI. mendera artekotzat jo duten bitartean.[1]
