Henri Fargues[1] (Donibane Garazi, 1757ko martxoaren 13a - Auteuil, 1804ko irailaren 24a) euskal herritar politikaria izan zen[2]. Frantziako Iraultzaren garaietan kargu politiko batzuk okupatu zituen.

Biografia

Donibane Garaziko alkate eta bake-epailea bihurtu baino lehen, Pirinioz bestaldearekin artile-salerosteak egiteari ekin zion. 1793an Espainiaren aurkako guda aldarrikatu eta gero, armadan sartu eta euskal ehiztariak izeneko milizia sortu zuen. Izuaren garaian atxilotua, Behe Pirinioetako Direktorioaren presidente izendatu zuten. Bostehunen Biltzarrean diputatua, VII. urteko sapadunean Agureen Biltzarrean sartu eta Bonaparteren lainotearen 18ko estatu-kolpe aurrera ateratzen lagundu zuen.

Hurrengo urtean senatu kontserbadorean sartu zen. 1802an Ipar Euskal Herri osoan ijitoen kontra burutu zen sarekada masiboren bultzatzaileetakoa izan zen[3]. 1803an Senatuko diruzain izendatu zuten. Ohorezko Legioa lortu zuen 1804an bat-batean hil baino lehen.

Bere semea Espainiako intendente, Autungo azpi-prefektu eta Marne Garaiko prefektua bihurtu zen.
