Toatemperatuur

Toatemperatuuriks (lühend RT) nimetatakse loodusteaduslike eksperimentide kirjeldamisel katse läbiviimise temperatuuri, kui see jääb ligikaudu vahemikku 21–23 °C ( = 294–296 K). Toatemperatuuri mõistet on mugav kasutada katsete juures, kus katse tulemus temperatuurist oletatavalt eriti ei sõltu, mistõttu täpne temperatuuri määramine pole otstarbekas. Samuti langeb see temperatuurivahemik kokku katsete läbiviimiseks tavaliselt kasutatavate ruumide temperatuuriga, ja on ühtlasi lähedane temperatuurile, mille järgi on sageli kirjanduses antud füüsikalisi suurusi iseloomustavad näitajad (25 °C).
