Terrorismivastane sõda

Terrorismivastane sõda (inglise keeles War on Terrorism, Global War on Terror, hiljem Overseas Contingency Operation) on mõiste, mille all mõeldakse Ameerika Ühendriikide sõjalisi, poliitilisi, õiguslikke ja ideoloogilisi meetmeid islamiga seotud terroriorganisatsioonide vastu, sealhulgas Afganistani sõda[1] ja Iraagi sõda[2] ning operatsioone Pakistanis,[3] Jeemenis[4][5] ja mujal.[6][7]

Mõiste võeti kasutuse pärast 2001. aasta 11. septembri terrorirünnakuid, kuid 2009. aasta märtsis käskis Ameerika Ühendriikide presidendi Barack Obama administratsioon kasutada selle asemel mõistet Overseas Contingency Operation.[8]
