Rannaastang

Pillikülje rannaastang Kihnu saare kirdeosas

Rannaastang on pudedatesse setetesse (liiv, kruus, moreen jne) lainete kulutava tegevuse tõttu tekkinud suure kaldega või püstloodne nõlv, mis ulatub rannajooneni. Rannaastanguid leidub enim rannikualadel, kus rannalähedase merepõhja kallakus on suur, mistõttu jõuavad lained sellistesse randadesse suure energiaga ja sealsed pudedad setted alluvad kulutusele kergesti.[1][2]
