Kolkata (varem Calcutta) on linn Indias, Lääne-Bengali pealinn. Asub Gangese deltas Hugli jõe ääres.

Kolkata oli 1911. aastani Briti India pealinn.

Kolkata jaguneb 15 linnarajooniks ja 141 linnaosaks.

Kolkata linnastus elab ligi 15 miljonit inimest. See on suuruselt kolmas India linnastu.

2001. aastal muudeti linna ingliskeelne nimi Kolkataks.
