Manco Inca
Manco Inca Yupanqui, también conocido como Manco Cápac II, fue el primero de los cuatro rebeldes incas de Vilcabamba. Escapó de los ejércitos de Atahualpa en Cusco y ofreció ayuda a los conquistadores españoles creyendo que lo liberarían de las "malignas tropas de Quito". Lo nombraron Emperador inca, pero después de los múltiples abusos que cometieron con él y su pueblo, decidió escaparse y rebelarse. En 1536 casi libera Cusco y expulsa a los españoles, sin embargo se refugió en Vilcabamba al tener que dar de baja a sus tropas por el excesivo tiempo que estaba tomando la guerra. Finalmente fue asesinado en 1544 (algunas fuentes indican 1545) por siete españoles que lo traicionaron.
