Las ranas arlequines[1]​ (Atelopus) son un género de anfibios anuros de la familia Bufonidae. Sus especies están distribuidas de Costa Rica a Bolivia y a la Guayana Francesa. Atelopus posee en general colores brillantes y es diurno. La mayoría de las especies están asociadas con cursos de agua de elevaciones medias o altas. Este género ha sido muy afectado por el declive en las poblaciones de anfibios, y muchas especies ahora se cree que están extintas.
