- En 1959 el premio era llamado «Mejor documental o Spoken Word» [1]
- De 1960 a 1961 Premiado como «Mejor rendimiento - Documental o palabra hablada (Aparte de comedia)» [2][3]
- De 1962 a 1963 Premiado como «Mejor documental o grabación Spoken Word (Aparte de la comedia)» [4][5]
- De 1964 a 1965 Premiado como «Mejor documental, Spoken Word o grabación Drama (Aparte de la comedia)»[6]
- En 1966 fue galardonado como «Mejor documental de grabación drama»[7]
- De 1967 a 1968 Premiado como «Mejor documental o grabación drama» [8][9]
- De 1969 a 1979 Premiado como «Mejor grabación documental mundial» [10][11]
- De 1980 a 1983 volvió al título «Best Spoken Word, documental o grabación drama» [12]
- De 1984 a 1991 Premiado como «Mejor documental hablado o grabación no musical» [13][14]
- De 1992 a 1997 Premiado como «Mejor documental hablado o no Album Musical» [15][16]
- Desde 1998 ha sido premiado como «Mejor Álbum documentado Hablado»[17]
