Es una categoría de los Premios Grammy otorgada desde 1965 hasta 2011, que ha tenido varias denominaciones a lo largo del tiempo:

• De 1965 a 1967: Mejor interpretación vocal country y western - femenina— Best Country & Western Vocal Performance - Female
• En 1968: Mejor interpretación vocal solista country y western, femenina— Best Country & Western Solo Vocal Performance, Female
• De 1969 a 1994: Mejor interpretación vocal country, femenina— Best Country Vocal Performance, Female
• Desde 1995: Mejor interpretación vocal country femenina— Best Female Country Vocal Performance

A partir de 2012 esta categoría desapareció tras una importante revisión de las categorías de los Grammy. Desde entonces todas las interpretaciones de solistas (vocales masculinas, femeninas e instrumentales) en el ámbito country se incluyen en la recién formada categoría de mejor interpretación country solista.
