Robert SOUTHEY (naskiĝis la 12-an de aŭgusto 1774 - mortis la 21-an de marto 1843) estis angla poeto de la romantika movado. Li estis unu el la famaj "Lake Poets" (Poetoj de la Lago) kaj cetere fariĝis Poeto Laŭreata. Kvankam lia fameco hodiaŭ malfortiĝas kompare kun siaj samtempuloj kaj amikoj (precipe William Wordsworth kaj Samuel Taylor Coleridge), la versoj de Southey ankoraŭ ĝuas sufiĉe grandan popularecon.
