Peter Brook
Peter Stephen Paul Brook (naskiĝis la 21-an de marto 1925 en Londono, mortis la 2-an de julio 2022 en Parizo) estis angla teatra, filma kaj opera reĝisoro juddevena, verkisto kaj produktoro, kiu influis vaste pri la ligo kreita inter la aktoroj kaj la publiko kaj ĝia efiko al la aktoroj kaj la prezento de la spektaklo, por atingi tion, kion li nomis la "Universala Teatro", kiu ne dependas de kulturo aŭ lingvo.

[redakti | redakti fonton]Edukita en Lernejo Gresham kaj Universitato de Oksfordo. En 1941 komencis kunlaboron kun Shakespeare Memorial Theatre, kiu poste transformiĝis al Royal Shakespeare Theatre. Tie surscenigis interalie verkojn de William Shakespeare kiel La Tragedio de Reĝo Lear aŭ Somermeznokta sonĝo.
En 1970 kreis kune kun Micheline Rozan Internacian Centron de Teatra Kreado kaj en 1974 transprenis parizan Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord, surscenigante la baratan eposon Mahabarato.
