Dentino

Dentino (lat. Substantia eburnea) donas plimulton de la dento. Male al denta emajlo, ĝi estas produktata dum la tuta vivo. Ĝi estas ostosimila kaj konsistas el ĉirkaŭ 70 % el kalcia hidroksilapatito (ĉefe fosfato kaj kalcio) kaj ĝis ĉirkaŭ 20 % el organikaj eroj. La restanta 10 % estas akvo. Ĝia koloro estas flava. En la areo de la dentokrono, ĝi kuŝas al dentoemajlo kaj en la areo de dentoradiko al denta cemento. La dentino ĉirkaŭfermas interne de la dento la dentpulpon.

La dentin-produktantaj ĉeloj nomiĝas odontoblastoj. Ili troviĝas ĉe la limo inter dentino kaj pulpo kaj havas kontakton kun la liberaj nervofinoj. Iliaj plilongiĝoj – la t.n. fibroj de Thomas – enpenetras la etan tubetojn (Dentintubuli), kiuj troveblas centrifuge ekster la pulpo.
