Charles Sumner TAINTER (25a de aprilo, 1854 – 20a de aprilo, 1940) estis usona sciencisto kreanto de instrumentoj, inĝeniero kaj inventisto, plej bone konata pro sia kunlaborado kun Alexander Graham Bell, Chichester Bell, la bofrato de Alexander nome Gardiner Hubbard, kaj pro siaj gravaj plibonigoj de la fonografo de Thomas Edison, kio rezultis en la Grafofono, nome versio el kiu estis la unua Diktafono.[1]
