ਲਾਸ ਐਂਜਲਸ (ਸਪੇਨੀ: [los ˈaŋxeles], ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ Los Ángeles ਲਿਖਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਫ਼ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇ ਦੀ ਸਪੇਨੀ), ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਦਸਤਖ਼ਤੀ ਨਾਂ ਐੱਲ.ਏ. ਨਾਲ਼ ਵੀ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸੰਯੁਕਤ ਰਾਜ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਦਾ ਨਿਊਯਾਰਕ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਦੂਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੈਲੀਫ਼ੋਰਨੀਆ ਰਾਜ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਅਬਾਦੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਦੀ ਅਬਾਦੀ 2010 ਮਰਦਮਸ਼ੁਮਾਰੀ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ 3,792,621 ਸੀ।[6] ਇਸ ਦਾ ਰਕਬਾ 469 ਵਰਗ ਕਿ.ਮੀ. ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਦੱਖਣੀ ਕੈਲੀਫ਼ੋਰਨੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਿੱਤ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਲਾਸ ਐਂਜਲਸ-ਲਾਂਗ ਬੀਚ-ਸਾਂਤਾ ਆਨਾ ਮਹਾਂਨਗਰੀ ਸਾਂਖਿਅਕੀ ਇਲਾਕਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਧੇਰਾ ਲਾਸ ਐਂਜਲਸ ਇਲਾਕਾ ਦਾ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਬਿੰਦੂ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਦੀ ਅਬਾਦੀ 2010 ਵਿੱਚ ਕ੍ਰਮਵਾਰ 12,828,837 ਅਤੇ 1.8 ਕਰੋੜ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਇਹ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਅਬਾਦੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਹਾਂਨਗਰੀ ਇਲਾਕਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੈ।[7] and the second largest in the United States.[8] ਇਹ ਲਾਸ ਐਂਜਲਸ ਕਾਊਂਟੀ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਦੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਅਬਾਦੀ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਨਸਲੀ ਵੰਨ-ਸੁਵੰਨਤਾ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਕਾਊਂਟੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ, ਦਾ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਵੀ ਹੈ।[9] ਜਦਕਿ ਸੰਪੂਰਨ ਲਾਸ ਐਂਜਲਸ ਇਲਾਕਾ ਹੀ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਵੰਨ-ਸੁਵੰਨਤਾ ਵਾਲਾ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।[10] ਇੱਥੋਂ ਦੇ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਐਂਜਲੀਨੋ ਜਾਂ ਐਂਜਲਸੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।[11]
