Check out Burn Rate

[edit]

It is a book. And I started the article on it: Burn Rate. Yeah, me!!

One of the key discussions in the book (all the way back in late 90s) was that the Internet was NOT broadcast. Was that it was "chat". I think this plays into your issue of web 2.0 and all that. And the author was a NYC editor (pictured in my .ppt) who of course ended up writing a narrative (the book). I think this is a little interesting and relative. And it is a fucking good read. So, go get a copy from the library if they have such in England.

The other major topic was the screwiness of the Internet boom. And I was one of the few nay-sayers before that bust. Still remember how breathy all my HBS brethren were about the stuff. I knew the net would be big, because I enjoyed forums and blogs and such. But petfoods.com? Puh...leeze.
