Dear Nina

Many thanks for your message of June 2008 to me regarding distortions in history pages. I feel that there is a group of manipulative individuals who are distorting South Indian history pages with one user claiming that the Chalukya empire convincingly overshadowed or overpowered the Chola kingdom which is contrasted by the hard fact that the Chola kingdom lasted till 1279 AD and even though its last kings were not very strong, but at least up to Rajadhiraja-II the kingdom was strong with Kulothunga Chola III registering victories over Pandiyans, Sri Lanka, Karur and Vengi and commemorating his victories by building the Kampahareswara temple near Kumbakonam. All this was during the period 1178-1218 AD. In contrast for almost thirty years, the capital of the Chalukya kingdom was occupied by the Kalachuris lead by Bijjala-I and Bijjala-II. Yet jingoistic users have been repeating about the overshadowing of the Cholas by the Chalukyas.

But the point is that what can you do to stop these people. When I questioned about Chalukya Cholas and made contributions to the Chola page, those perverted users complained to a high-handed user called Blinguen, who in all probability is a Vietnamese and is a big zero on South Indian History, who claimed to have reviewed the page and he blocked me twice, the first time without giving notice.

I work in the Supreme Court of India and would like to haul that person in the court on behalf of history lovers of India and for not allowing people to participate peacefully in page building in Wikipedia.

It is good that you too have noticed about distortions on history pages pertaining to South India, but let me know what can be done about this nuisance.

thanks for your concern once again.
