Paul Staines and Hague

[edit]

Last time I looked, describing an allegation as being either true or false is a subjective and non-neutral act. We should do neither of these.

The allegation has been made. We can reasonably record that it has been made and even state what it what, but we shouldn't start qualifying it with our own opinions on it. Andy Dingley (talk) 08:29, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It is not a neutral act, as it implies the allegation might be true. This discussion is probably more appropriate to the relevant talk page.Hobson (talk) 10:22, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Per the instructions which appear when editing Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case which can be found at Template:Editnotices/Group/Wikipedia:Arbitration, I have reverted your addition the case page, as you posted it in Black Kite's section. It does seem a bit ironic that you are making a case of one person discrediting another, by discrediting someone. Regards, --Hammersoft (talk) 19:42, 22 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Lothar Wallerstein

[edit]

There is not an English biography of Dr. Professor Lothar Wallerstein on the Wikipedia pages even though he is cited in several articles about opera. I did, however, find a German Wikipedia article about him. Wallerstein worked with Richard Strauss during the period between WWI and WWII and was Reggie of Vienna State Opera. Escaping the Gestapo, he made it to NYC where he staged operas at the Met until 1946 when he married my aunt and moved back to Europe. In order to make a page for Wallerstein, would I translate the German article? --ElenaDartmouth (talk) 20:24, 10 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
