The Shrewpelt/Warriors Portal Portal

Warriors is a fantasy series of novels written by Kate Cary and Cherith Baldry, with their editor Victoria Holmes, under the pen name Erin Hunter, that follows the adventures of Clans of wild cats as they try to survive in their forest homes. The four Clans are called ThunderClan, ShadowClan, WindClan, and RiverClan, with most of the focus on ThunderClan. The series is divided up into three miniseries with six books in each series. The first of these miniseries, usually referred to as the Original Warriors, was published in 2003, beginning with the book Into the Wild. The second series was written under the title Warriors: The New Prophecy and published in 2005. The first book was called Midnight. The first book of the third series Warriors: The Power of Three, The Sight, was added to shelves on April 24, 2007.

Selected article

Moonrise is the second book in Erin Hunter's bestselling Warriors: The New Prophecy series. It was first published on August 1, 2005, as a hardcover. It was published by HarperCollins. Exactly a year later, the paperback edition was released. The book has been praised by Barnes and Noble and Booklist, although Kirkus Reviews was not as warm. The plot follows Brambleclaw, Squirrelpaw, Crowpaw, Feathertail, Stormfur, and Tawnypelt on their quest through the mountains, their stay with the Tribe of Rushing Water, and the death of Sharptooth and Feathertail. The Tribe of Rushing Water was used to portray the theme of religious conflict.

Selected character

Crowfeather is a dark gray, almost black tom with blue eyes. He is a WindClan warrior and the son of Ashfoot. Crowfeather was chosen by Deadfoot of StarClan to be the WindClan cat to journey to speak with Midnight, a star-gazing badger. Crowfeather is a snappish cat and has a barbed tongue, as shown in Midnight, notably when the questing cats are following Purdy through a Twolegplace. During Moonrise, he grew very fond of Feathertail, and became increasingly upset after her death, even running recklessly onto a road. Later, he develops a new forbidden relationship with Leafpool, but this romance also fails. By The Sight, he has found a mate and has a son named Breezepaw.
