The New Republic Defence Force (NRDF),Also Known as The New Republic Army (NRA),IS The Armed Forces of The New Republic,It Consisted of The Grand Army of The Republic,The New Republic Defence Fleet,The Galactic Guard,The Border Security Forces,And The Reserve Forces.

Each Force Has a Specific Job,With The Army Dealing With Land Operations,The Defence Fleet Dealing With Naval Warfare Operations,The Galactic Guard Deals With Special forces Operations,The Border Security For Guarding The Borders,And The Reserves Acting as A Reserve forces To Feed The Other Branches During Wartime.

The NRDF's Origins Are Disputed,With Some Historians Say it Originates in The Rebel Alliance's Militia,Fighting The Galactic Empire in The Galactic Civil War Up Until The Battle of Endor in 5 ABY,Where After The Death of The Emperor and Darth Vader,The Alliance Reformed into The New Republic,And By extension,The Militia into the NRDF,Which Continued Fighting the Imperial Remnants Up Until The Fall of The Last Remnants in 11 ABY,And Others Say In The Galactic Republic's Clone troopers and The Grand Army of the Republic That Fought in The Clone Wars Against The Confederacy of Independent Systems and Droid Army.

Before The Clone Wars,The Republic Did not Have a Standing Military For 1,000 Years,With The Jedi Doing Peacekeeping Duties,and Defence Duties Going to The Various Planetary Defence Forces.The Invasion of Naboo Raised Concerns About That Standard,As The Jedi Who Were Sent (Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi),Couldn't End The Trade Federation's Blockade Then Invasion,And Required The cooperation of The Gungans and The Naboo,And The Destruction of The Blockade Runner That Resulted In The Deactivation of the Droids Did The Situation Get Resolved.Those Concerned Voices,Alongside The Separatist Crisis Eventually Lead to The Military Creation Act In 22 BBY,Which Creates An Army To "Defend The Republic from All threats,May they Be Internal Or External".The Act Drew Lots of Controversy,With Multiple Detractors,At The Forefront is Naboo Senator,and Queen at The time of the Invasion Padmé Amidala, who believed it would be a threat to the Galactic Constitution.Nevertheless,The Act Passed Directly After The Galactic Senate Gave Emergency Powers to (Then) Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine,Who Used The Clone troopers Ordered By Jedi Master Sifo-Dyas,Who Was Had Visions of War,And Was Sure That War Was Inevitable,To The Kaminoans,To His Advantage And Using Them for his own good

Not Even A Day After The Creation of The Grand Army,The Clone Wars Began with the First Battle of Geonosis in 22 BBY,Which was the First Time the Grand Army of The Republic faced off against the Separatist Droid Army,The Battle Ended With a Costly Republic Victory,With Many Jedi Knights and Masters Dying At the First Hours of The Battle,And Many Clones Dying When The Reinforcements Led By Grand Master Yoda, And Then,Over The Course of Three Years,The Grand Army Fought Across The Galaxy Against The Separatists,With Heavy Casualties on Both Sides of the Conflict.

During The Final Days of The War,In Response to the separatists' Attack on Coruscant,The Republic Launches What it said would be The 'Final Blow' To The CIS,An Offensive Striking Deep Into The Outer Rim,And Laid Siege To Several Planetary Systems,Was Started By The Grand Army In 19 BBY,The Third and Last Year of The Clone Wars,While At First a Crawl And Stalemate,It Eventually turned Into A Victory For The Republic.

After The End Of Galactic Civil War And The Defeat of The Last Imperial Remnant,The NRDF Was "Half" Demilitarized Under Orders of Supreme Chancellor Mon Mothma,With The Force Being Decreased It To A Third of The fighting force in 15 ABY,With The Rest being Assigned To The New Reserve Forces. The Defence Forces Mostly Engaged In Anti-piracy measures in The Outer Rim and in Protecting Convoys For The Outer Rim Development and Repopulation Plan (ORDRP) and For Diplomatic Missions.

On 8/8,On 39 ABY,The First Order Invaded And Attacked The New Republic,Capturing Around 250 Parsecs On The First,The Response by The NRDF was Almost immediate,But After the end of the Day,The NRDF Border Guard and Divisions Present Were Almost Overwhelmed.

NRDF Forces Reached Into First Order Space in The Early Months of 43 ABY,And Pushed all First Order Troops out of New Republic Territory in Late 43 ABY,And The First Order Got Pushed Out of The Known Galaxy in 44 ABY,And The Final First Order Forces Surrendered in 45 ABY

After The War,The NRDF Was Reduced Back To Half The Force,With A Quarter of Reserves Being in Ready Reserve and the Rest Are Regular Reserves,All With Better Training And Military Education.

According To The Constitution,The Supreme Chancellor is The Commander-in-chief In Charge of All Branches of the NRDF,and all Militia Forces Attached to the NRDF,and The NRDF's Cabinet Department is The Ministry of defence,The military chain of command flows from the Supreme Chancellor to the secretary of defense,And then The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff,Who is The Highest Military Rank in The NRDF,And then The Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff,The Joint Chiefs of Staffs are responsible for organizing, training, and equipping forces, with the actual chain of command flowing through the unified combatant commands. during Peacetime,50% of The NRDF's Men Are Assigned To the Reserves

The Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) Is the Land Forces and is the The 2nd Largest Sector of The NRDF,It Consists of The "Active Army",Divided into The "Armoured Core",for the Walkers and The Juggernauts and the "Trooper Core",Under the GAR Chief of Staff.

The GAR's main Objective is Conducting and Sustaining Ground Combat on Planets,and Moons,And Occupying Enemy territory when at War.

The New Republic Defence Fleet (NRDFl),More commonly Now as the Defence Force (Dfl),Is the Naval Warfare Branch of The NRDF and currently is The Largest Component of NRDF,Consisting of the "Starfighter Core",for the starfighters,and The Ship Core,For all The Ships in the Navy.

The Main Missions of the NRDFl are Air and Space supremacy,Gathering Intelligence,Providing Cover for Ground Troops Entering the Atmosphere of Planetary Systems,and Command and control.

The Galactic Guard (GG) Is The Special forces Unit of NRDF,Responsible for Protection of The Chancellor and Other Foreign Diplomats,Conducting Special operations,Special reconnaissance and surveillance in hostile environments,Special reconnaissance and surveillance in hostile environments,Counter-terrorism operations,Among Other Operations. It is One Of the Two Parts of The NRDF That doesn't have a Reserve Component.

The Border guard Are Responsible For:

• Controlling and guarding a nation's borders and protecting national borders.;
• Controlling border crossing persons, vehicles, and travel documents;
• Preventing illegal border crossing of persons, vehicles, cargoes and other goods;
• Controlling transportation of prohibited and limited items (e.g. weapons, ammunition, toxic substances, narcotics) over the national border;
• Supervising and controlling the observation of foreigner residence regulations, visa regime;
• Preventing the illegal movement of goods and other art across the nation's borders, bypassing customs control.

Among Other Peacetime and Wartime Duties. It The Other of the Two Parts of The NRDF That doesn't have a Reserve Component.

The Reserves are the "Tanks" of The NRDF,Housing All The Non-Active Members of the NRDF,Being Divided Into the "Reserve Army",And The "Reserve Navy",With Them Also Being Divided Into Active (Ready To Serve),Which A Quarter of the Reserve force Belong To and Passive Reserves,Which is The Rest of The Reserve Force.
