Some may know me from other sites, but that is all I will say on the subject. I am a passionate system administrator of Unix-like systems, and I use Linux daily as my main OS for one of my computers. My favorite family of operating systems is the BSD family, and I regularly use its descendants like NetBSD, FreeBSD, and macOS. I am most acquainted with the BSD family, in much the same way that they are my personal favorite OS family.

My goal is to improve articles in my area of expertise, technology. People know me for my great knowledge of technology, and I will use that to help out in Wikipedia. I have followed the English Wikipedia for many years, back when Google Search had its old look. I run and help run many websites, and I am generally a Unix-like sysop. I run, and have run, many MediaWiki installs of varying complexity, content, and extensions. They will not be mentioned, but as a result I have a great knowledge of MediaWiki semantics, syntax, and hierarchy. That will enable me to contribute to Wikipedia effectively and correctly.
