Hi everyone, I am ImmernochEkelAlfred, that literally meaning "still EkelAlfred". I have joined Wikipedia on 28 DEC 2016 as I am now. Saying that, because actually two or three years before that I created an account called "EkelAlfred[random numbers]" of which I forgot not only the password, but obviously even how the account is called and the e-mail address I made it on, making that account effectively dead. So here I am back.
I am a German native speaker, absolutely fluent in English and I know enough French to survive. I have had a little latin in school, but that is nearly negligible. Through my free time activity in a veterinary clinic and my general interest in medicine, I am relatively confident in Latin and Greek based scientific terminology. I can somewhat understand some written romanic languages but I don't speak any other than the ones mentioned above.
I am studying Medicine in Germany, which is my childhood dream. Before that, alongside school, I have worked in a veterinary clinic for over 4 years, including surgery, however my knowledge right now is rather basic and/or punctual. I am also interested in pretty much any field of science and technology, especially ballistics, fire prevention and combatting.
Most of my contributions occur, when I am browsing through Wikipedia and find something that looks weird to me, or which I clearly know is wrong. That might be language wise, but also in some instances content wise. I personally perceived that most mistakes are found in the English Wikipedia about a German topic, where I obviously have an advantage through my nationality and native language. Since I've spend a year of my school time in the UK, I have a feeling for good and fitting translations that in the majority of cases is correct. However, as everyone else, I am also prone to mistakes and I take it as an act of comradery when my mistakes are corrected.
I used to actively and regularly participate in Recent Changes Patrolling and formerly recieved training by the Counter Vandalism Unit Academy. However, since mid 2017 I am studying medicine and trust me, it's A LOT of stuff to learn. Unfortunately, that means less time to spend on Wikipedia.
