I've been online since the early 1980's, starting with BBS' and BITNET before the Internet became a thing. I am currently employed by the Internet Society (ISOC) as the Director, Internet Technology, focused on helping build sustainable technical communities and also researching low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites for Internet access (ex. Starlink, OneWeb). (NOTE: I do not edit the Internet Society's article on Wikipedia due to WP:COI.)
Previous employers: Voxeo, Mitel, Linuxcare, Linux_Professional_Institute
More information about me may be found at links off of: danyork.me
