Should winners be included?

[edit]

I put winners in the links for the gubernatorial and u.s. senate elections just to make it clear to the casual reader the context of the election. This was done, however, in a very early revision (14 years ago) when there were only a few links. A later editor, @-A-M-B-1996-:, added more years but removed the winners for concern over space. It's a fair point, frankly, and it could sometime get overwhelming with names. Still, I like it with the names at least for now. What do you think? —GoldRingChip 19:13, 29 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@GoldRingChip:Sorry to step on any toes without talking here first! Wasn't sure if there was active editing going on here. But I'm slowly starting on a project of filling in the rest of the Massachusetts gubernatorial elections, and since the elections were biannual from 1920–60 and annual before 1920, this is section going to get extremely crowded fast. I think this is the way to go long-term, although I'm not against keeping it for the Senate, which has a much lower potential number of elections. —-A-M-B-1996- (talk) 14:20, 30 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
There was no reason to talk here first… WP:BB! I understand exactly your concern. Looking at List of elections in Massachusetts#Governor, there are, indeed, a lot of names. Can we see what it would look like with all those names and then decide if/when to remove them? —GoldRingChip 17:04, 30 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@GoldRingChip: Just wanted to bump this since we can now see what the template looks like with winners. I'm in favor of removing their names but wanted to get your feedback. Cheers! -A-M-B-1996- (talk) 01:05, 5 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
