The purpose of this navbox
[edit]@BilCat:
While it may be true not everyone likes all purpose navboxes, I believe the trend is towards larger navboxes (because computer display sizes have gotten bigger).
I am willing to do an RFC over how big and what purpose this infobox should have. WhisperToMe (talk) 01:50, 3 July 2021 (UTC)
- Also a user in 2006 stated that Template talk:Nashville, Tennessee sports venues the navbox would be redundant with a category. The reality is that navboxes can cover multiple categories and provide an informational sort that a navbox won't cover. WhisperToMe (talk) 01:53, 3 July 2021 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) And tablets are still quite small on desktop view. But yes, an RFC or TFD would be the courteous thing. I' not going to make a big stink about it or argue endlessly over it, but more than one or two people need to make the decision to merge the city-related navboxes. (My internet connection is intermittent right now, so forgive me if I can't follow up tonight.) BilCat (talk) 02:00, 3 July 2021 (UTC)
- @BilCat: It's fine to reply later. Anyhow I filed an RFC WhisperToMe (talk) 03:27, 3 July 2021 (UTC)

RFC about whether Template:Nashville, Tennessee sports venues should be merged into this template
[edit]- The following discussion is an archived record of a request for comment. Please do not modify it. No further edits should be made to this discussion. A summary of the conclusions reached follows.
Should Template:Nashville, Tennessee sports venues be merged into Template:Nashville, Tennessee? Both are navboxes put at the bottoms of articles for navigation reasons. WhisperToMe (talk) 02:11, 3 July 2021 (UTC)
- @WhisperToMe: I have removed the
((rfc))
tag, because this is both the wrong process and the wrong venue. See WP:TFM, and as advised at WP:TFDHOWTO step 1, you need to use((subst:tfm))
on the template itself as well as following the other directions. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 09:25, 3 July 2021 (UTC)
