  • Original hook is too cute. Save that kind of obscure wording for April Fool's Day. --Orlady (talk) 19:49, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
Then can I? I wouldn't mind actually getting something unorthodox through this time. GRAPPLE X 19:56, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
  • That would be decided by the crowd at Wikipedia:April Fool's Main Page/Did You Know. Candidly, I don't think this would be sufficiently outrageous for April Fool's Day. Obscure wording alone is not sufficient to make a hook suitable.... --Orlady (talk) 20:16, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
  • I wouldn't use it for fish day. With proper capitalization, maybe as a quirky. Crisco 1492 (talk) 01:03, 22 September 2011 (UTC)
  • Hook needs to be hammered out. AGF on offline sources. Suggested ALTs: ALT1 ... that the selfish X is the opposite of the selfless Deep Throat?, ALT2: ... that after the selfless Deep Throat comes the selfish X? Crisco 1492 (talk) 10:10, 27 September 2011 (UTC)
I guess either of those would work fine. GRAPPLE X 14:04, 27 September 2011 (UTC)
  • From Orlady on my talk page: ALT3: ... that in 2009 Entertainment Weekly listed X as one of 20 "black sci-fi icons"? Crisco 1492 (talk) 07:12, 28 September 2011 (UTC)
That'd be good too. Any of the suggested alts seem grand to me. GRAPPLE X 07:14, 28 September 2011 (UTC)
  • ALT3 to prep as no third party has given feedback on the others. Crisco 1492 (talk) 09:25, 30 September 2011 (UTC)
