Wawel Dragon (statue)

[edit]

Dragon breathing fire

Created by Piotrus (talk). Self nominated at 03:48, 21 May 2013 (UTC).

  • Reviewed: it's new, interesting and the claim is backed up by sources. However, it isn't quite 1,500 characters long. Also, might I suggest an alternate hook?
Expanded now. Also adding image to the hook. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {T/C} 05:32, 21 May 2013 (UTC)
I'd suggest dropping "by tourists", anybody can do that. I am also not sure if it's correct to say that the statue is programmed; I doubt it has much software... nitpicking, but the computer stuff is probably somewhere else. Thanks for the expansion (can you add page number?) --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 05:53, 21 May 2013 (UTC)
  • Hmm, personally I think having the hook mention the fact that sending a text message to it will cause it to breathe fire makes it more "hooky". If anyone could figure out how to word it to that effect it would be great. In any case, it's still very interesting. Coinmanj (talk) 14:14, 21 May 2013 (UTC)
  • Comment: please do not mention the text messages in the hook. I couldn't find any definitive sources online, but I know from personal experience that the text-message scheme does not work anymore. The statue continues to breathe fire at regular intervals, though, without the need to send any text messages. — Kpalion(talk) 01:52, 22 May 2013 (UTC)
