Temecula Olive Oil Company is an olive oil manufacturing and bottling company based in Southern California. Founded in 2001, it has seven physical tasting locations, although it ships its products throughout the United States.[2]

History

[edit]

The company was founded by friends Catherine Demuth-Pepe and Nancy Curry in 2001.[3][4] Nancy's husband, Thom, had the idea to make olive oil.[5][6] The ranch where the company began was originally a cattle ranch called the Bourbon Ranch until the mid-1960s. Cowboys, after getting work done at the ranch, would go into a saloon that would become the company's tasting room in Temecula.[7]

Products

[edit]

All of the company's olives are sourced from their ranch and flagship store location in Aguanga, California. They have over 35 varieties of trees and sell live ones as well. Ranch tours are occasionally offered.[2][8] There are many different flavors of olive oil.[9]

Other than olive oil, the company also sells balsamic vinegar and artisanal food ingredients such as pasta blend, marinara sauce, tapenade, herb blends, sea salt, and stuffed olives.[2]

Tasting rooms

[edit]

The company has physical tasting rooms where customers can try certain oils first before buying them in person. As of 2024, there are seven of these, all in Southern California, in the cities of Temecula, two in San Diego, Solana Beach, Laguna Beach, Aguanga (flagship), and Seal Beach.[2]
